Job Description

  • Supporting the delivery of client engagements across the insurance sector
  • Providing a high quality advisory service to clients around areas of specialism
  • Liaising with clients, typically those within risk teams but some exposure to Head of Risk and CRO level staff is possible
  • Supporting business development initiatives and being an integral part of winning new business
  • Marketing and raising the profile of the companyin the market place through supporting networking events, attendance at external conferences etc.


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally a post-graduate qualification
  • Insurance Industry experience
  • Experience of holding a similar role within a Big 4 firm or a Risk Management role in the insurance industry
  • Practical and theoretical understanding of how operational risk is managed within insurance companies or how risk functions exercise oversight of financial and insurance risk
  • An understanding of the processes and techniques used by risk functions to oversee risk managements such as risk identification, control design and testing and risk reporting and how insurers communicate risk and improve risk culture.
  • Detailed knowledge of the systems of governance used in relation to risk management
  • A detailed understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to risk management, in particular how the new Solvency II rules are impacting risk management
  • Attention to detail and experience of communicating views in a simple way through written work or in meetings
