Reporting Accountant – Insurance sector

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Control Manger across numerous areas, including compliance with Solvency II, Pillar III reporting Obligations.  You will also support main European division in performing controls and accounting for Month, quarter and year end tasks.

Responsibilities will include: (Not limited to)

  • Performing the Financial Close Process for the quarterly reporting, annual reporting and ad hoc reporting to the authorities
  • Managing the quarterly and annual reporting process by ensuring deadlines are met jointly by the Finance and Corporate Actuarial Department;
  • Preparing and presenting Quarterly and Annual MI Packs to senior management, CFO and Chief Actuary.
  • Responsible for quarter end and month end accounting and control for US GAAP and IFRS Reporting Basis

Experience required:

Due to the nature of the requirement, this role will probably suit a recently qualified accountant from a professional services sector background, ideally you will be ACA or ACCA qualified and be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the reporting areas above.  Preference is for experience of auditing Insurance or financial services sector clients.
