Motivate the team to exceed budgeted renewal retention levels and cross sell targets by writing profitable businessAccountable for reporting on monthly performance and progression against targets to the Manager and respective Regional ManagersIdentify underperforming renewal books and proactively seek ways to improve retentionProvide focus and leadership to the team through pro-active workflow management to achieve agreed service level agreements and productivity levelsThrough capacity planning on a weekly and monthly basis, ensure that the resource within your team and across the underwriting centre is being used to best effect for the UK Regions businessAct as a sales leader with the underwriting centre and provide bi-weekly coaching to your team members to continually improve their soft skills for the benefit of and our brokersSupport and develop team members as they progress in their careers and manage underperformance where necessary
Develop and maintain close, effective relationships with key stakeholders including brokers and regional underwriters and regional managersStrive to continually improve the service we offer our clients and brokers through identifying process improvements and offering solutionsContinually seek better and more efficient ways of doing things to support long term profitability and help manage the cost baseStrategic input into the running of the wider underwriting centre operation through being a member of the Underwriting Centre Management TeamDependent on experience you may also hold underwriting authority and act as a referral point
